The Kimmel Center represents AGT’s ability to fulfill extremely complex architectural requirements. A total of 4,100 unitized glazing panels were used to create a striking structure totaling 143,000 square feet. The unique look and structural integrity of the project is achieved using our structural four-sided silicone system, consisting of mulled frames from narrow profile extrusions. All new extrusions were developed for the project, and the system underwent extensive testing for air infiltration and water penetration at our facility prior to production. “The unique use of glass in its design transforms the project into one of the most amazingly striking structures in the United States today, utilizing concepts never before employed in the glazing industry.” Rafael Viñoly, Architect | |
