The key design challenge in completing the point-supported Foote Cone Belding project was that the entire project was built inside an existing building in Manhattan. In order to meet construction requirements, AGT designed a compartmentalized solution where all components (even truss systems) were sized to be transported in the building’s service elevators. Once transported, the entire structure was assembled and lifted into place. | |
